CHAPTER 4: The Times They Are A-Changing
Entry #50: There's Gotta Be A Morning After
Welcome to fall... Or should I say welcome to the apocalypse? Either way, welcome! This is the first fall that I'll be spending in quarantine amongst the burning world, earthquakes, racial injustice, hurricanes, chetto in the White House, oh and the annoying Ms. Rona. So yeah, still the apocalypse. Looking back at the last few weeks spent living in smoke has been an experience. Living in this time with that and corona going on at the same time, it's an even weirder experience. I swear waking up and seeing the darkness in the sky, it's basically a visual representation of the darkness in the world. As we head towards the end of the year, I am curious to see how this is all going to play out. Through it all, I haven't lost hope that there's gotta be some sort of morning after, I don't know what that will look like, but we're gonna figure it out. My goal for this interesting Autumn season is to make it feel special amongst all this burning fire around me. In more than one way, beyond the hot mess of the world, it's really rough. I swear, the stress is actually creeping up on me. As I said earlier in the summer, I now have Arthritis. At 25 years old, that is such a young age to get this painful crap. I'm not thrilled with the pain that has been traveling from my neck to my head. I'm doing this 100 days of sweat challenge and I'm literally fighting through my discomfort. The only reason why I am fighting through it, is because I know there is something more beyond these hiccups. As much as the world is now showing a visual representation of the literal darkness around us, we have to keep fighting through the pain. We have to take that pain and show the pain what fighting looks like. Now is not the time to wimp out and call it quits. Yes, we don't know what tomorrow has in store, but we're gonna wake up and deal with it. So, let's keep the optimism through all of the stress. We'll figure it out. Let the leaves fall. Let's begin.
